Sean Duffy Community Centre

The Sean Duffy Community Centre is a not-for-profit organization located in the heart of Ardnaree with the purpose of providing socially inclusive and affordable activities and facilities for the local community.

 

A huge congratulations and thank you to the organising committee, actors, sound and light technicians, volunteers and all that helped out in any way to make the Haunted House on the Hill a massive success. The dead will rise again for Halloween 2024!

Event Details:

The Sean Duffy Community Centre in association with Ardnaree Sarsfields GAA and Pieta House will host a Halloween Haunted House attraction at the Sean Duffy Community Centre, Ardnaree, over the evenings of Friday 27, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 October 2023 with horrific scares and frightening fun for adults and teenagers.

A ‘matinee’ show will also take place on Sunday 29 October for children from 4 to 6pm. Entry for kids will be at a reduced rate paid at the door.

A Sensory Hour for those with sensory difficulties will also take place on Sunday 29 October 2-3pm. Entry is free for the senory hour but please contact event organisers if attending to reserve a spot and for any further information. MUGA Development Finished and Ready to Open!

The Board of the Sean Duffy Community Centre is delighted to see all the hard work come to fruition with our MUGA development moving towards completion. Thanks to all the community for your support throughout the entire process!

Thanks to Mayo North East, Moy Valley Resources IRD and Mayo County Council and all local councillors for their support.

Thanks to all the lads at JNC Premier Pitches & Fencing and everyone at Simon Beale + Associates for their superb work.

An online booking system will be launched soon and an official opening will take place in due course.


Welcome Back!

The Sean Duffy Community Centre is delighted to welcome back our groups from June 29 2020 after the Covid-19 lockdown. As the easing of restrictions allow us to resume activities some essential measures remain in place. Please follow all signs and directions and carefully read any instructions from your group leader with regards to parking and entering/exiting building. All indoor groups will have a limited capacity depending on their activity. If you need to use a floor mat, towel, water bottle etc please bring your own. Hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed throughout the building and cleaning/hygiene protocols in place and we will do our best to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

If you have a temperature and/or cough please stay at home!!

OPENING HOURS (Summer 2020)

MONDAY TO FRIDAY : 9AM-10PM | SATURDAY & SUNDAY : 10AM-6PM | CLOSED ON BANK HOLIDAYS

(Opening times subject to change, notification will be given through social media.)


As well as the hall, gym and meeting room the Sean Duffy Community Centre has four changing rooms (with communal showers), kitchen, car park and sports field.

The Community Centre has made a Defibrillator freely accessible to the public at the main entrance (cabinet code C123) , one of many such defibrillators accessible throughout the town in cooperation with Ballina Community First Responders.
